About Us

Our Story.

It all started 15 years ago when we noticed a pressing need in the Embulbul area, orphaned children were facing immense challenges, and we wanted to help.

Taken by a desire to make a difference, Pastor Jane Jimono and her family, created Angelica’s Home Orphanage with the mission to provide a safe and nurturing environment for these children.

Since then, Angelica’s Home has grown to care for over 100 children, each with their own unique story. These children, often from the most challenging backgrounds, just need a chance to thrive.

Pastor Jane.

Our Founder and mother to all.

In 2010, Pastor Jane founded Angelica’s Home with a heart full of hope and a promise to God. After her husband left, leaving her to raise six children alone, she vowed that if God saw her through her struggles, she would dedicate her life to ensuring no other mother faced the same hardships.

What began with 10 children seeking refuge has grown into a haven for many. Initially, children came to her on their own, but as the community learned of her work, locals began bringing her children who needed help finding their families. Pastor Jane worked closely with local authorities, often being asked to care for the children while efforts were made to reunite them with their parents.

As a pastor since 2009, she has not only provided a safe place for abandoned and neglected children but has also extended help to women and their children escaping dangerous situations, offering temporary shelter and support.

Pastor Jane’s mission is to ensure that every child leaves Angelica’s Home with at least a high school certificate, prepared to build a better future. However, turning 18 often means exiting the home with unfinished schooling and limited resources, a challenge they are striving to overcome.

Angelica’s Home continues to be a beacon of hope, driven by Pastor Jane’s unwavering faith and compassion for the most vulnerable.

How we work.

To help our children with the essential needs they deserve, we:

  • Provide a secure and comfortable home environment where children feel safe and loved.

  • Focus on providing education, trying to give all children access to schooling.

  • Promote physical, emotional, and social development, we offer a range of activities, including sports and arts.

  • Prioritise the well-being of our children, providing nutritious meals, mental support and more.

  • Equip our children with essential life skills, such as cooking and cleaning.
